The Moonstone’s light had held steady, but Bramble looked worried. He sat on Lily’s palm, tracing lines on a piece of bark with a charcoal stick.

“What’s that?” Lily asked.

“A map,” he said. “Of the stars. But something is wrong.”

Lily leaned closer. The constellations were shifting, moving in ways they shouldn’t.

“The stars are migrating,” Bramble said. “If they move too far, the Moonstone will lose its power.”

“Can we stop them?”

Bramble shook his head. “No one can stop the stars.”

Lily looked at the night sky. The stars were beautiful, but they were also fading.
